Description
A genuine Victorian double heart and bow Ruby and Diamond bangle made from 18ct Rose Gold.
Heart symbolism soared during the Georgian Era, and continued to be a regular motif under the reign of the trend-setter, Queen Victoria. Her dear Prince Albert gifted her a heart locket, prior to their wedding, which was her most precious possession. Anything the Queen loved, the rest of the West did, too. Couples used the double heart as a betrothal icon as it meant that two hearts were bound together as one. The intertwining hearts created a loop, with no beginning or end, representing a love meant for eternity. The looping bow tied the hearts together, symbolising the union and was very popular with young couples.
All the gemstones are claw set for safety.
The bangle comes with a safety chain already attached and in working condition.
This measures 2.5″ across at the widest point.
